The Basic Certificate Exam published in 2007 is organized into 8 sections. The exam has 100 questions, which are distributed like this:
      1. Regulations and Policies - 25
      2. Operating and Procedures - 9
      3. Station Assembly, Practice and Safety - 21
      . Circuit Components - 6
      5. Basic Electronics and Theory - 13
      6. Feedlines and Antenna Systems - 13
      7. Radio Wave Propagation - 8
      8. Interference and Suppression - 5

The actual questions are randomly chosen from an question bank of 960 questions that is published by Industry Canada on their web site.

This primer does not attempt to cover everything that you need to be a successful Amateur Radio Operator. Instead, it is designed to review material that is directly related to the questions in the question bank in order to be a final preparation to writing the exam.

It is provided in an effort to be helpful and is offered without warranty or any form of guarantee as to its accuracy or suitability to your situation.
